BIBLLIOTERRA brought families together at the Crystal Palace Gardens
Over the course of two days, Av. Das Tílias hosted various themed stations.
The gardens of the Crystal Palace hosted BIBLLIOTERRA, the children’s and youth branch of BABELL, with a program dedicated to families.
Over the course of two days, Av. Das Tílias featured various themed stations that offered experiences for kids and adults alike through Stories to Explain the World, to Protect, to Make You Laugh, to Lull You to Sleep, to Amaze, to Travel, to Draw, to Sing, and to Listen with Your Eyes Closed.
Among the many memorable moments at BIBLLIOTERRA, the participation of Dinis, the Mini Biologist, stood out. His sessions, held at various spots throughout the gardens, captured the attention of the youngest attendees, who enthusiastically followed his explanations about nature and biodiversity.
The BIBLLIOTERRA program featured Alda Casqueira, Ana Rita Domingos, Adriano Reis, Bando dos Gambozinos, Carina Novo, Constança Duarte, Dinis, the Mini Biologist, Estefânia Surreira, Fábio Superbi, Gabriela Araújo, Kiara Terra, Mariana Machado, Marta Bernardes, Marta Pais de Oliveira, the Trofa Boys’ Choir, Patrícia Macedo, Paulina Almeida, Raquel Patriarca, Rita Sineiro, Saphir Cristal, Sofia Fraga, Susana Gonçalves, and Virgínia Millefiori.
More than just an entertainment event, BIBLLIOTERRA has established itself as a space for promoting reading, creativity, and learning. Through stories, music, science, and artistic expression, children had the opportunity to engage with different themes, stimulate their imagination, and develop their curiosity about the world around them.
Initiatives like this reinforce the importance of children’s and young adult literature as a tool for education and growth, demonstrating that books can serve as a starting point for discovering new realities, understanding the environment, exploring emotions, and encouraging critical thinking.
