The Lello Bookshop Foundation will host, on February 22 at 11:00 a.m., the presentation of the children’s book “Monstrônsito” by author Peter Fussy, illustrated by Gabriela Araújo.

With lively language, science presented in a playful way, and fun illustrations, this book invites young readers to look at cities (and their own streets) from a different perspective.

At the end of the presentation, the author encourages children’s imagination and self-expression through a creative activity in which they will draw and build their own interpretation of the Monstrônsito. Using recycled materials, pens, ribbons, and other elements, the children will interact with the “car” used during the presentation.

This activity invites reflection on how, over the decades, public space in cities has been transformed to prioritize the automobile.
