To celebrate Christmas, the Livraria Lello Foundation hosted the presentation of the children’s book O Abraço da Aldeia (The Village’s Embrace), by author Sandra Inês Cruz, illustrated by Sebastião Peixoto, and presented by António Mota and Inês Ramos, from Suricata Publishing.

The book reveals a different kind of Christmas—without glitter, without wrapping paper and without festive music—returning to the essence of this deeply symbolic celebration. O Abraço da Aldeia shows how, even without what we now consider indispensable, Christmas can be surprisingly joyful. The session also included a Christmas workshop for younger audiences.
