LIVRARIA LELLO FOUNDATION AND AEP FOUNDATION SIGN STRATEGIC PROTOCOL

The Livraria Lello Foundation and the AEP Foundation have signed a strategic collaboration protocol aimed at deepening the relationship between the cultural sector and the national economic fabric, by promoting joint initiatives in the fields of culture, active citizenship and business development. The signing ceremony took place at the Monastery of Leça do Balio, the headquarters of the Foundation, and was attended by Rita Marques, President of the Livraria Lello Foundation, and Luis Ribeiro, President of the AEP Foundation.

This protocol seeks to foster the intersection between culture, active citizenship and economic development through the joint promotion of initiatives with real impact on the business ecosystem. The collaboration foresees the design and implementation of integrated programmes, including:

· The organisation of cultural and educational activities aimed at entrepreneurs and employees of AEP-associated companies;
· The co-organisation of meetings and thematic sessions addressing contemporary societal challenges, with a focus on innovation and sustainability;
· The joint activation of artistic and literary content within business environments as a way of stimulating creativity, critical thinking and social cohesion;
· The promotion of exhibitions with cultural and social relevance, notably “People in Motion” — an exhibition to be inaugurated in 2025 at the Monastery of Leça do Balio, exploring, in an interdisciplinary manner, the themes of human mobility, diversity and belonging.

Through this protocol, the Livraria Lello Foundation and the AEP Foundation commit to the development of a more inclusive business culture, recognising the fundamental role of culture as a driver of social transformation, territorial empowerment, and human capital enhancement.

This collaboration is part of the Livraria Lello Foundation’s strategy to extend its cultural and educational outreach to different audiences and contexts, consolidating the Monastery of Leça do Balio as a hub for heritage, innovation, and collective responsibility.
