LIVRARIA LELLO FOUNDATION AWARDED GOLD AT THE EUROPEAN DESIGN FESTIVAL 2025

Livraria Lello Foundation awarded GOLD at the European Design Festival 2025

The exhibition ‘Act The Thought – Age com o Pensamento’, promoted by the Livraria Lello Foundation in partnership with UNESCO and curated by Studio Eduardo Aires, has just been awarded GOLD at the prestigious European Design Festival, held this year in the vibrant city of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

This award recognises the overall exhibition project — from curatorial concept to scenography, content accessibility, and community engagement — and reinforces the role of the Livraria Lello Foundation as an agent of cultural and social transformation, with roots in Northern Portugal and a European outlook.

The award comes at a time when the Foundation and the Monastery are asserting themselves as key references at the intersection of culture, education, and heritage. Since its reopening, the Monastery has welcomed over 25,000 visitors, establishing itself as a new hub for encounter, knowledge, and civic participation.
