The Fundação Livraria Lello will host, on December 14, the presentation of the children’s book “O Abraço da Aldeia”, written by Sandra Inês Cruz, illustrated by Sebastião Peixoto, and presented by António Mota and Inês Ramos from Suricata Publishing.

“O Abraço da Aldeia” is a touching Christmas story that brings back the most human and quiet essence of this season.
The book transports us to a small Portuguese village, far from sparkling lights, colourful wrapping paper and the usual festive bustle. Here, Christmas is lived with simplicity, almost as a journey back in time, where what truly matters is not seen — it is felt.

The narrative follows a French boy who, upon arriving in this remote village, discovers a world of values often overlooked: the strength of dreams, the warmth of welcome, the wonder of discovery, the beauty of friendship and the importance of solidarity. Without glitter or noisy celebrations, it is in the smallest gestures that he finds the true magic of Christmas.
