
Starting September 26, the Monastery of Leça do Balio opens its doors to the exhibition People in Motion
On 25 September, the Monastery of Leça do Balio will inaugurate the exhibition “People in Motion”, in partnership with the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See and the Vatican Museums. The exhibition is a contemporary reflection on migration, belonging and empathy, exploring what moves us as individuals and as communities.

Livraria Lello Foundation records nearly 10,000 visitors in five months Between March and July 2025, the Livraria Lello Foundation welcomed 9,590 visitors, with July standing out as the month with the highest attendance. The combined ticket Livraria Lello + Foundation has proven to be a success among international audiences, particularly from the United States and Canada, accounting for over 4,600 entries since its launch on April 15. In total, visitors came from 88 different nationalities, confirming the growing international reach of the Monastery of Leça do Balio as a cultural and literary venue.
